Learn how to Cope with Everyday Stress

INDIVIDUAL & GROUP THERAPY FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

Private sessions with counselors who understand your job.

First Responders have a common saying: “We see people on the worst day of their lives.” The stress of helping others through difficult, and often life-altering situations on a daily basis can directly lead to mental fatigue and illness for every rank and file worker. Acknowledging this challenging work environment and providing meaningful services to cope with the stress, grief, pain, and personal sacrifice inherent in the job are critical to personal well-being and a healthy work-life balance.

Evidence shows that depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder are the most common mental health conditions among First Responder teams. This is not a sign of weakness or failure, but of emotional wear-and-tear that has a cumulative effect on personal health. 911 Wellness works with individuals to address issues and provide coping mechanisms for everyday stress through personalized psychotherapy treatment and ongoing wellness programming.

Individual Therapy
First Responders can benefit from individual therapy, which promotes resiliency, reduces burnout, and enhances quality of life. You need a system to protect yourself from the mental and emotional toll of the job, which is vital to job performance, wellbeing, a fulfilling home life, and the people/communities you serve.
Family Therapy
The daily stress faced by First Responders doesn’t simply stop when their shift is over. The job often carries over to home life, as pressure and adrenaline can be difficult to switch off after work. We help families develop programs for stress relief, personal health, and a positive work-life balance.
Group Therapy
First Responder teams often have more in common than they know when it comes to stress, grief, trauma, sleepless nights, and anxiety. Group therapy can help teams deal with issues in a collaborative manner, strengthening bonds while helping members support each other in times of need.
