WELLNESS SERVICES FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS FIRST RESPONDER AGENCIES

Built by First Responders, for First Responders.

First Responder agencies/departments often do not have the time, information, and professional resources necessary to confidently support mental health and ongoing wellness programs. 911 Wellness is here to help. Built by a team of industry professionals (one of whom is a retired First Responder), we understand your operations, needs, and challenges, and can place you and your department on a sustainable path to success. Nurturing both the mental and physical health of your team leads to happier employees, greater resiliency in the face of trauma, budgetary savings, and a workforce that is stable and dependable. We offer:

Annual Wellness Visits
Our therapists conduct confidential, 1:1 wellness checkups to assess every staff member’s mental health status. We share coping and stress relief strategies. These annual visits can also be augmented by individual therapy sessions if the employee has additional needs.
Pre-Employment Testing
We help agencies vet potential hires through pre-employment testing that quantifies personal traits including mental health, aggression, intelligence, trainability, and alcohol/substance use. Resulting metrics will inform a “suitable” or “not suitable” designation.
Fitness for Duty Evaluations (FFDE)
911 Wellness psychologists can conduct FFDEs for staff members whose on-the-job behavior and performance raises concerns that they cannot conduct duties in a safe and effective manner. After the assessment, we provide detailed recommendations and an action plan.
Critical Incident Debriefs
Every First Responder team will be challenged by traumatic events in the line of duty. Our therapists conduct as-needed debriefs to help individuals/teams unpack trauma, process grief, and develop coping mechanisms for the ongoing stress inherent in the job.

Promote wellness without impacting budgets.

Over the past decade, Federal and State legislation has taken a significant step toward acknowledging and supporting the critical nature of proactive wellness programming and reactive/ongoing therapeutic services for First Responders. Many agencies do not know what is available to them, how to quantify needs, and how to attain financial/resource assistance. We collect the data, share the know-how, and provide the contacts to bolster your internal programs and staff wellness without adding to your bottom line.

Our team will assist your department in soliciting funding (through grant applications) for ongoing mental health programming, wellness visits, and long-term interventions to improve lives and performance without impacting your annual budget.

Grant Writing
We will research appropriate grant opportunities, write your grant application, manage the submittal process, and collect correlative data to support the grant request.
Data Collection
Our team will conduct surveys and research programs to quantify and support agency needs.
